It was a super summer for cycling here at climb09, and 2010 brings a celebration of cycling in the region with the 100th anniversary of the first ever Tour de France stages in the Pyrénées.

The Tour will feature no less than 6 stages in the Pyrénées with the famous Col du Tourmalet being climbed twice, once from each side! The Ariège enjoys a stage finish at Ax-les-Thermes with Stage 14 on July 18, and the following day the Tour visits Pamier for the first time with a stage start. Lance Armstrong and his new team will be pushing to win his 8th Tour de France and the new Sky team will be hoping Bradley Wiggin can get on the podium!

Each year we have our local race, the popular Ariegeoise, followed by the famous Etape du Tour. Then we enjoy the biggest race of all - the Tour de France. We already have a team of keen cyclists heading over to take part in the Ariegeoise in June, and we can arrange training holidays or races for you too.
